Why are posts being directed to Dr Bob for determination in the first place, when in most cases he is deciding that they are within the guildelines of civility for the boards? Does that not suggest a pattern that perhaps no determination from the moderator is necessary for those posts?
Wouldn't it make sense for the posters on the boards themselves to sort it out? I suppose if there's a situation where the poster with the request for determination is questioning a post from someone with whom they don't want to correspond (a "Do Not Post" person), to me it indicates that these are two people who have already agreed to disagree, in not so many words. In which case, it's a matter of dropping a subject. You can't resolve a difference of opinion.
Disagreeing with someone else's viewpoint would not be something that would require determination of whether the post falls within the guidelines of the board - that would be neither here nor there.
I hope I didn't just shoot myself in the foot, but there seems to be a true lack of common sense going on here, in my eyes.
