Oh, I totally agree that there are significant differences, particularly in the "how" of having a relationship with a group. That's why I asked for group specific techniques.

It's not just having a relationship with a bunch of individuals. I've seen people here who have great relationships with fellow posters yet who seem to be hurt a lot by the board in general. There is something significantly different about having a relationship with a "group".

But the struggle for a flawed but valuable relationship with a group isn't that different than the struggle for a flawed but valuable relationship with a person (which is just about every worthwhile relationship). It's the *means* of how best to struggle that appear to be different, and perhaps the *type* of struggle as well.
