Dr. Bob, perhaps you could consider the problem from a different angle than "allowing your buttons to be pushed".
Maybe something unofficial to people who seem to be in the center of a whirlpool (or whirlpool after whirlpool) without actually breaching the civility guidelines? A "Hey guys, let's be careful out here" or "This is a support board, so let's try to be supportive" applied in response to the poster who isn't quite uncivil?
