.....in a site search, that is!
I surfed myself with Babble/Google, looking to find and scan all my posts for certain things and gather their links. But I would say the majority of my posts didn't come up. There are "hundreds" of hits, but only due to the way each addition to a thread produces duplicate hits and that kind of thing. But a great number of my posts didn't come up at all, and I can't think of a common factor to them.
Does not seem to be related to any of the following -- which I didn't expect it to be: whether it was a response or a new thread; whether any responses were received to it; whether a redirect was involved; whether I changed a title in it; civility issues on it; the age of it, nothing I can think of. For example hardly anything or maybe nothing from the last week -- including last night -- came up. But this is the way the search is going for all dates I've been here -- pulling up a random and incomplete list.
I am inputting only my own name as a keyword, so I can't open it up more than that. And, I also tried to inputting major keywords that were definitely within the threads and posts I want to find, and even some names of other posters that I know started or were on the threads, and even that won't pull them up. I had some particular ones in mind like that, but overall I have posted too many times to remember each one unless I can get them all to come up in the search.
Could it be my browser? I've always noticed that several things do seem to vary depending on whether I use one or the other variant of IE that I have on my PC, but in this case, they are pulling up the same data and both are very incomplete. If you want to try it and see if that is making a difference, my total was 513 (of which most are interlinked multiples of the same subjects). Any idea what is going on? I did post to these things -- that I only think I did is not a possibility. And I would probably pass if I have to scroll thru every page of every archived board since I've been here... Thanks for any ideas.
