Aren't we the ones who came down on the side of "not (always) necessary?" But I can be a wimp. Anyway, thanks, d'oh, I do see that previous indicators box now. What I was trying to do was get the links I had already read to turn a different color again, thinking that they usually stayed a diff color even through crashes, reboots, cookie cleanses and site reloads. But maybe I'm remembering wrong about that -- I have DSL so perhaps I was just continuously online longer than I thought and that's why the links were staying nice and color coded for me! But *if* it actually can/should work that way (links remaining a diff color forever once read), please let me know. That is so much easier than even flags just denoting what's new on the entire page... If I have guessed that function right even... : )

Then there is a line that seperates the page and the fun begins with posts... Hope that helps spoc. It comes in handy if you close out the screen and lose your place :)
