Uhhhh, Wait a minute, what's this?

>>I am a reporter for a national women's magazine writing an article on drugs that people use for weight loss, and on people's real experiences with those drugs.<<

Oh dear, not to drag this out, but I was running through some back posts looking for some information I wanted and I came across her introductory post..
>>I am a reporter for a national women's magazine writing an article on drugs that people use for weight loss, and on people's real experiences with those drugs.<<

and lights and bells and whistles went off... that should have gone off before... I guess it was the topomax and one of its random side effects affecting my memory cells...
when I am looking for information for an article I want to write or have been assigned to write, I do not introduce myself as a reporter for 'a' magazine, or 'a' radio news magazine or or or...
If I am not proud enough to be writing for the magazine or station or newspaper hiring me, then I don't work there, otherwise I state the name of the employer proudly; it means that I have arrived and usually that I have achieved a by-line with them...
where was the pride in having arrived? something doesn't quite jibe here....

OK headachequeen, now I'm totally confused. I guess I better just stay off the thread.

Wow. I am a little more than ticked off. I really didn't think that my post, or the other's, regarding the 'journalist' should be relegated to the redirect link Dr. Bob suggested.

> > PS: Follow-ups regarding posting policies, and complaints about posts, should be redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration

I think a complaint about an intrusion is a far cry from a complaint about a belligerent person, for example. It is also important that other posters know that this person is not a fellow member and does in fact have an agenda.

Yes, posting here is a public forum, but most people here are of common mind/experience. I doubt seriously that any of us would like our privacy violated by having our thoughts shared (and possibly misconstrued) in a national magazine with people who most likely DO NOT have similar experiences.

Most troubling is that Dr. Bob doesn't seem to have a problem with the magazine reporter asking questions or the article she is trying to drum up. Does publicity for this site mean more than the member's feelings?

I do not want my post redirected to an administrative branch of this web site. This is an important discussion, not a one time complaint.

Thanks in advance,

Shannon
