Hi Kira,
I suspect that this post will be transfered to another board.I do want you to know that there is hope. i was diagnosed as bipolar 7 years ago. I've tried several meds(lithium, tegretol, depekote, blah blah blah..)and the only major side effect with them was that they made my hands shake bad. However, Now i have found the magic bullet. 10mg zyprexa, 100mg lamactil, & 30mg oxazapam(for sleep). The only possible side effect may be that I feel "contained" and I don't get too excited about anything. I miss the days of old but now i guess I have to live in the real world--kind of a drag. Good luck
