I agree with this statement. Blocks came about many moons ago (it's all in the archives) and when a lot of people were getting hurt (posters hurting other posters).

Like everything, it used to be simple and now it's not. Now there are PBCs in the equation to keep track of, and different issues at hand. Plus, a lot more admin discussion of whether a block is appropriate, etc.

But, the bottom line is, having a consequence here is a good thing, in general, in my opinion. And a block is a reasonable consequence, in my opinion. And being able to state one's opinion about someone getting blocked is a good thing, in general, in my opinion.
