Dear Beardy,

What an excellent "review" of the issue. I couldn't agree more (as usual) with your argument. And of course, as writing teachers know, arguments are *good* things.

I don't understand why my mention of confusion re: so many boards was moved here. Since it was tangential, and just a comment, and since readers of the Social board should know there's a possibility that their post regarding one topic could very accidentally be posted to another, unrelated (?) board, it seemed important for me to mention it there, and not bring it over here.

Further, if Bob wants to start a thread on Admin on the topic of redirecting posts, then he should do that. But that would imply he was willing to implement changes in his policy, and I don't believe he is ready, at the present junction, to do that. Moving my comment over here to "begin" the thread signals just that.
