Do not turn the "open" venue into a "i'm telling" atmosphere. It is exactly what the name states, open. The only topics which are restricted are illegal ones; however, I do believe we only once been approached by such a discussion and the person quickly became literally bored with us and yahoo chose to remove their membership. (Apparently there was a large sting operation, but that's another story.)
Why would you feel obligated to referee a disagreement/misunderstanding/arguement (between two adults) in such a forum? In my opinion, if you do it once you would just open a door for more such concerns to come to the board. In the past such things have been settled among the users of the chat. (And sometimes the solution has been to ignore a particular individual, which the chat mechanism provides such an option.)
