Dr. Bob - thanks for continuing to answer my questions about the archives. I have a *natural* curiousity about computers and how things are put together on websites, that's all!
First, I think you may have inadvertently answered a question I was going to ask, and that is are the posts archived continuously?
I ask this because each day when I read through the CURRENT listing of posts, I notice that that the oldest ones from the day before (the ones that were on the beginning of the list) are gone and newer ones are now on top.
So, I am concluding that each night at some point, the *oldest* posts in a current list are automatically archived?
You mentioned that "the archives are by date, so whenever a new one is created, posts start going there" -- my follow-up question this time: is there a set *cut off* point for the archives, i.e. are they limited to a certain length that was *pre-created* so an archive automatically stops at a certain point and then a new one starts, or do you start and stop the archives manually? (I hope I'm making this question clear!)
Thanks,
Janelle
