Sid,
If using spell check is important you can use the spell check attached to whatever word processor you have. Just cut all of the text out of the reply window, paste it into a blank word processing document, run spell check and then cut and paste it back into the original window. It sounds like far more work than it really is. I do something similar already because I can't stand the small composing window.
Of course it might be better if we all reviewed our posts as often as you.
