Wellll, the info that I'm getting IF (notice the disclaimer) it is correct, is that the Chapter 11 filing and resulant shutdown of the @home site was in essence to force a bidding war over the cable modem technology. AT&T currently leases the technology for 300+ million and the owner of it (unknown) thinks it's worth at least twice that. There are four or five other companies interested in leasing it. Somehow they got a judge to OK the shutdown of the site cutting off service to over 3.7 million customers (I think). I still can't figure out the logic in that one. I've attached a link to a CNN article that will give you some info about it and if I can dig up anymore I'll let you know.
