Banned for language?

Dr. Bob:
I don't understand why geno was banned for using the word "fuck". He/she did not use it towards anyone, just as an exclamation. What makes that unacceptable, and something like "damn" O.K.? "Goddamnit" would certainly offend some. (Didn't mean to list a string of obscenitites here - just trying to make a point).
Is there something on your site about which words are "appropriate" and which aren't?
I have to say, this bothers me a lot. It will definitely limit the type of people who come here, and I don't think that's good.
