Kath--
LOL--I hope you got great big bunches of $$ during your canvassing. That's pretty clever to wait until evening so you can tell if people are home.

I can relate to the kiddo issues. They are still pretty young, and it sounds like, floundering (as we all probably did). The cool thing is they have a safety net...if things get absolutely desparate (and I believe things SHOULD be absolutely desparate before the net can be used...like next stop homeless shelter or car to live in) they can stay with you. For a short time--you can say how long, I'd think. Plus, they'd have to be considerate of your daughter's condition--without reservation.

I don't know about the employment situation in Canada, but here it's pretty awful. I'm working 2 jobs now, one is with a temp agency and will end the end of Feb. I hope the agency will have something else after it ends. I'm not yet making ends meet, which is sort of awful. I sound more like your kids than a person who SHOULD be able to get a job! Can I move in with you if things get really bad? You'd have to pay the air fare from Texas to Canada...oh, and I have 2 dogs and a cat you'll have to pay for, and feed, etc.! hahahahahahaha--just kidding.

I am delighted to hear your daughter has a safe haven. You have gone to great lengths to ensure her safety and well-being, and I admire you greatly for it. I know it is harder on you, and I sympathize with you on that aspect of the situation. I'm glad she's doing ok, and has a potential partner in her life.

I love Tai Chi! I used to have lessons some years back, and it always helped so much. I'd even do it in public if I started feeling rattled! I also had a hard time learning all the moves at first, but it will get easier, and I think be quite beneficial to you.

And, great to hear you and Craig are doing well. I am so glad that he is a true partner in your life.

Thanks for letting us in on how it goes!

xoxo
Shar
