Dunno, should I give you all an update? Maybe a brief one, so that you get a bit of an idea what I'm talking about. (Oh, yeah, like anyone ever knows what I'm talking about... That would mean I'd have to make sense...) My treatment team now consists of my T, SparklingBright; my pdoc, Dr CattleProd; and a Registered Dietitian, who has no name yet. (Maybe we can give her a name? She needs one.) I see the T once a week, which we're moving to twice for the holidays and to help me through the part about gaining weight; the RD once a week, when she sets my goals for the week; and the Good Dr CattleProd about every three to six weeks. (You know, if you just read this without knowing, you might think I didn't like Dr CP. I really do like him, he's a great guy, very nice, listens easily, just a nice fellow and very personable. And I like him BECAUSE he is like a cattleprod for me, giving me that little zap to get me moving in the direction I know I have to go.) Anyway, that's the story to date.
This week, though, I don't seem to be able to meet my eating goals. In fact, I've lost weight and can feel myself really, really wanting to eat less than the goals set. It's as if I *want* to fail. Maybe it's because I was gaining steadily and slowly, and got scared? But I think there's more to it. I'm feeling as if I have my heels dug in, ready to turn and run back into that burning barn. I don't know quite what to do. Well, OK, I do know: type about it here, tell SparklingBright, and talk to The Nameless RD abut it. But I can only do one of those at this moment, so I am....
How are all of you? What's new and exciting in 2000Ville? Have you all been partying without me? And Nikki, I'm glad to hear that you don't have {ahem} fistulas. (That is another name for them, by the way. Sounds a bit nicer, huh?)
