I'm so sorry you have the added stress of your Aunt's illness on top of turning 50 (which I hear is especially difficult for men). Is there any way you can tape or film her telling a family story? I have one of my Mom before she passed away and it is a great comfort to me.
$175 is steep, do you have any MSW therapists in your area? They only charge about $50-$60/hour and I swear I have had better ones then any psychologist or psychiatrist that I've seen. maybe something to think about?
I hope you continue to post, I always think venting helps and we all care a great deal about you. BTW, thank you for the concern about my son, my husband did 'give them hell' and my son's pediatrician got involved so despite keeping my son home today the rest of the little guys got to drink water to their hearts content.
