Hey..
Good luck at the spine place... My brother has alot of spinal p[roblems similar to yours, and he has recently been told about try Botox to help with the pain.. he is seeing his doc soon to ask about them (waiting lists terrible here rememebr, so no quick appointments available) Its something to do with the Botox paralysing your nerves that help with the pain.. and then the muscles which contract cos of the pain can relax and that reduces the pain longer term..
might be something worth asking about
