Alyssa Nikole was born on Aug 17th at 1:19am. She weighs 5lbs 10ounces, 19 inches long.She has jet black hair and lots of it! She is beautiful!!! Her color is perfect. During labor Jen's husband left to go get some dinner and of course Jen went into transition labor and I had to take over as labor coach. We really made a connection. Jen told me that she couldn't have made it thru that part if it hadn't been there. She was going to just have her Mom and hubby there for delivery, but told the doctor that because of what I had done, she wanted me there too. I never felt so honored by anything in my life. I actually got to watch my granddaughter be born. Of course I cryed like a baby. It was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life The delivery was very rough and they had to use a vacuum to get the baby out, but Mom, Dad and baby are doing very well. Grandma and Grandpa are tired as hell as hell after only getting four hours sleep, but couldn't be prouder!
