I just happened to go to Wal-Mart for my meds when they announced that the pharmacy was holding a flu shot clinic. It took like 2 mins, so easy! There wasn't even a line up. Not even my health card was needed. It was nice to get the shot out of the way this fall. Now I don't need to make an appointment.
I'm not in a high risk group or anything, but our government encourages everyone who can to get the shot. There's enough for everyone who want one. Getting sick sucks so why not?
Are you getting your flu shot this year and do you have to pay for it?

I have not gotten it.I hear they have a new one this yr that doesnt make you feel as if youve been hit in the arm w/a baseball bat.It doesnt go into the muscle,just under the skin.

I got it, didn't have to pay for it. I usually don't want it. A traveling vaccinator showed up where I was working, and I said ehhhhhh...(sigh), fine
I half hope I get sick, and then I can stay home.
but...I suppose it's not good to get it, and then spread it

Back in September. Every year for over 30 years now.
My insurance covers it 100%.For me, having seen someone go through a terrible case of flu once, and having worked in a hospital where people had to be admitted their illnesses were so life-threatening, it's a no brainer for me.

Long ago. We call starting in August to find out when it will be available. The insurance pays for it, but if it didn't I would.
It doesn't hurt even as much as an insulin shot. Or a mosquito bite. The needle is so tiny I barely notice it. And I hate being sick.

I also hate to be sick but now they say with thyroid disease not to get the flu shot? Forgot where read it? Phillipa
