I listened to this song many times, when I came out of my last breakdown.I sang it to myself, made myself believe I could be fixed. It wasnt about loving someone else,it was about loving me and loving life

I like moody, sad music, but also uplifting tunes.I must've come across that coldplay song back in 2008,when I was coming out of the WORST breakdown, and I mean complete, that Ive ever had.My husband cried and told me that he just wanted to come home and see me in the kitchen, glass of red wine in hand, singing w/frank sinatra roaring in the background.I lost my love of music first, when the downward spiral started.Im sure I'll post some more videos from youtube! What do you listen to?

Hey, I lost my love of music for awhile, too. At my worst. Films, too. Reading. It all fell away for awhile.

I haven't listened to Frank Sinatra in years. I like Tony Bennett, Mel Torme. All sorts of crooners.

Actually, I enjoy a wide range of music. The is a recent post of a Nick Drake song here. Recently, I found a band called Arms and Sleepers. Very ambient.

Ray LaMontange. There is some nice stuff of his on YouTube. If you haven't heard him, I reccomend the BBC sessions with Be Here Now.

How sweet!!!!This is the third version I've seen of it I used to keep a copy top of my emails where he was on a beach topless and jumped off a cliff. It was cool too. I wonder if Nickengland's original thread to James is in the archieves or he emailed it to me years ago. Remind me some time to tell you about love at first sight when 23 living in Florida. Love Phillipa

When I listen to a song I love,I get pings in my brain! Like when the guy in Fix You video starts running, and the music speeds up,feels like my dopamine goes into high gear-maybe I should post on neurotransmitters & see if there's some science behind that? It feels like a runner's high,I did experience that in college.I ran for 30min.s everynight, and then had this feeling as if floating on air, happiness.

How do you get in touch w/these people to tell them what their song means to you? That Fix You song elevated me,gave me hope, really it saved me just as much as my pdoc w/her rx pad did.

Since the neurotrasmitter board doesn't get many posts I'd stick to regular meds board that is where most seem to post. As to contacting the singers no idea? Phillipa
