What is this about? Human nature....ahhhhh!

Posted by ace on December 7, 2010, at 22:46:50

Anyhow, I am seeing a lovely young lady now, we seem to very suited to each other. She is a very interesting lady. In some time, their will no doubt be little Ace's in this world...heaven forbid!
A few girls from my past who showed a little interest in me have found out. All of a sudden their heads pop up NOW, and I am their best friend and they NOW want to talk to me all the time.

My intelligent suspicion is that these girls never truly were interested in Mr. Ace (warts and all), but more so in the fact that they want their ego's stroked and male attention. "Human....all too human!"

Give me your thoughts!

Yes. Is it characteristic of females?!
Being a wise woman, what do you think is the genesis behind this....or pathogenesis!??

Little Aces? Any on the way yet?

No. No.! Ace is still a kid. Eventually my passion and naivety will dry up and a more shrewd will take it's place......Nature will see that it happens

Engaged Wedding?

No. Not yet! Have to be 110% SURE it is Ms Right, don't ever want to be divorced, and paying out $$$$

Ace Sounds lovely for you!!!!! Love Phillipa

I believe you are a Married woman?

Hi Ace,

I can't speak for everyone, but I would agree it is part of human nature to want things that one can't have. It's certainly true for myself and my friends.

Mountain of experience with colorful relationships have brought me some welcomed wisdom, but in the past, when a guy I turned down became unavailable, I would often throw my hat back in the ring...which would result in headaches and complications. :(

I blame my neurosis, but the fact was, the less available, the more valuable it became... I think, also W. Allen's quote about "not wanting to belong to a club that would have me as a member" was also in my equation of push and pull on a relationship. Thank goodness I know better now, cause it was exhausting. :)

You seem to understand the motives behind the sudden interest from the girls from the past. So yeah, don't take it seriously, and focus on your new relationship. Good luck with your new lovely and interesting lady! :)
