what I cooked for dinner

Posted by LlurpsieNoodle on February 22, 2008, at 17:36:31

I decided to start cooking again after a year or so eating microwave food.

tonight was arugula salad with balsamic vinaigrette and blueberries

Grilled Shrimp with adobo seasoning

mango salsa

Parmesan scalloped potatoes.

The entire dinner was only 8 weightwatchers points. I'm such a nutrition nerd...

-Ll

oh yeah, you're all invited but you have to bring a dish too. Toph- you must bring Key Lime pie. traditional, you know?

Good for you on that prep stuff... sounds wonderful.

I may be looking to you for future ideas as this 'ole (old???) lady just got her lipids' profile results back..... sigh.

Just hit up Applebee's this afternoon for a 5 point salad.

Sigh. I've been loosing a bit of weight, but only because I've been too depressed to be bothered to cook, or eat. I really couldn't care less right now. As soon as I'm feeling chipper (what an awful word!), my appetite springs right back to life, so I'm under no illusions that I've made any lasting weight loss....

Your meal does sound good, but I'll pass for right now.
I'll bring some flavored seltzer water to the meal.

yummmmmm....

We had pizza from my son's favorite pizza place. I'm not quite sure what makes it his favorite.

It's encouraging to hear that such a delicious sounding meal can be healthy as well.

I guess I should consider myself fortunate. When I'm not doing well, I lose weight. Right now I'm about 115 pounds - 5ft 5 in. While on Celexa I happily gained weight. Was up to 135 pounds (& still wanting to gain more!! It was like reverse anorexia or something! That was years ago & it was Tina who pointed out, 'Kath, that's probably enough of a weight gain. I don't think you'd want to go higher than that' or some such wisdom)

I am trying to make sure I get enough nutrients each day. Made sure to take a lunch with me today while I was out for several hours.

The prosecution rests.

Triangular puddings all.

Sorry to mess with your head. It's a sad truth you will have to deal with it. Like the Santa thing.

Sorry.

hello,

i guess the american menu differs somewhat from the finnish one...

myself i don't know my height and weight in inches or lbs, but i'm 52 yrs, 184 cm and 94 kg,

i walk a lot but the best sports i've tried is called water jogging, it's really cool,

i think everyone should try it once, swimmers and non-swimmers, old and young, with more or less lbs on .)

http://www.vesiliikunta.com/

every morning i enjoy Finnish oats porridge called Elovena by Raisio.com, with a small piece of butter or jam,

Harry Enfield ROCKS!!

Love him! (they don't really know of him in the states, but I was mesmerized by him while I got to live in the UK during the naughty nineties. (That's just a reference to my personal history, btw...)

Nice to meet you, and welcome to Babble.

but: it is a different situation here: in the lower part of the slide there is a video from whick u should get an image of the pools in the municipal swimming halls of Finland... quite warm indoors + of course Finnish sauna before & after the exercise

I really liked Benny Hill before I discovered Monty Python, then retroactively Peter Sellers and his humour. I also loved The Two Ronnies - so corny but couldn't help but laugh at them.

(Raised by a television set, can you tell?)
