Child Abuse-Should i show this in class?

Posted by rjlockhart on September 2, 2007, at 22:15:39

This is a really short scene from "Mommie Dearest" (1981) With Faye Dunawaye

I wanted you to tell me if this is suitable.

I mean it is child abuse, but well the good thing about it is its not graphic.

Im explaining how this woman saw her daugther impersonating her in the mirror for fun, and then she finds out and goes nuts because from her point of perspective she see's her daughter who's like what 7? a threat.

Here it is:

Joan Crawford i realized had a successful career but she had mental issues and alcohol problems. She took it out on her children, and her husband by reading some on her.

If you have seen mommie dearest the actaul movie, there more worse scences than this.

Here is the theatrical trailer. Too:

Just in case, but its being presented this wendsday. 9/5.

Can you maybe give me some advice on what to say during this presentation?

Thanks

Rj

this is for psychology obviosly so we had to pick varies topics.

I chose fear (the amgalda center is actually where fear orriginates) and mental instablity, with a demonstration of child abuse because of a distorted perception towards a child.
