Yahoo!!!!! Sunny here, too and it has been for the past few days. The weekend is supposed to be gorgeous with temperatures in the 20s and sun, sun, sun!!!! I love Canada this time of year! And, we really didn't have a bad winter (as far as Canadian winters go).

by Lighthouse (Canadian band)
Sittin' stoned alone in my backyard
Askin' myself "Why should I work so hard?"
Sittin' dreamin' 'bout the days to come
Half-undressed, just soakin' up the sunSittin' here, I hope I don't get fried
Two years ago, you know, I almost died
And yet, there's nothin' better for your soul
Than lyin' in the sun and listenin' to rock 'n rollSunny days
Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days
Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know
Than lyin' in the sun with your radioSunny days
Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days
Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know
Than lyin' in the sun with your radioI really think there's nothin' quite so fine
As lettin' the sun rejuvenate your mind
Don't get me wrong, I really dig the moon
But it was four in the afternoon when I wrote this tuneAnd now the sun's about to fade away
I'm feelin' better than I've felt for days
You know, there's nothin' better for your soul
Than lyin' in the sun and listenin' to rock 'n rollSunny days
Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days
Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know
Than lyin' in the sun with your radioSunny days
Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days
Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know
Than lyin' in the sun with your radio------ instrumental break ------
Sunny days
Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days
Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know
Than lyin' in the sun with your radioSunny days
Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days
Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know
Than lyin' in the sun with your radioDa da-da da-da da da da
Da da-da da-da da da da
Da da-da da-da da da da
Da-da da-da da-da da-da daaaaaa-aaaa
Well, all right!

It's the first day of summer here in UK the weather is sooo sunny.
Putting on fake tan and lying down in the garden watching the planes fly overhead and the trees dancing are thriving. The garden is my on suite intensive care unit.

I like Lighthouse.
I can't remember the lead singer's name, but when I was in my early 20's a friend of mine introduced me to his wife (they were separated at that time) & we visited her & she showed us tons of really interesting photos in her album. It was a pretty 'cool' experience.
Are you in Ontario?
Enjoy!! Kath

The lead singer's name was Bob McBride. He had an awesome voice! I remember in the mid-90s at this local pub my friends and I used to go to, he showed up and played a set (there was always live music on the weekends). I had been told that he had recently gotten out of rehab and kicked a nasty coke habit and was getting back into music. His wife was there as well, so they must have reconciled at the time. Sadly, I had heard that he didn't stay clean for long :-( I heard from one friend that he got arrested holding up a 7-11. Even more sad, he died in 1998. What a loss.
And, yes, I am in Ontario.
Have a great day!

Kids playing in the parks and people out walking and enjoying the nice weather. The sun has been shining for days now, which is so nice.
Have a good one!
Annie
