Hi, gg and Dinah. Thanks for thinking of me. I'm around...lurking. Sorry I haven't been in touch, lately. You can blame it on Beefcake. He's turned my emotional self into an exhausted pile of mush. The rest, you can blame on my boss and http://www.sarbanes-oxley.com (good grief! Of all the links I could have posted and I manage to direct you to the single-handedly most boring one!)

I wish I could be a better friend right now. :(

(((gg)) and (((Dinah)))

Thanks again for thinking of me. It helps!

Thinking of you as well.

The web link --- do you write for it? upload the info? --- I'm confused.

T's have a way of making mush of our superior minds and talents. It's like cleaning out your closet. There's a huge phase when it looks way worse than you began. But sooner or later (hopefully) it all comes together and you can step back and say "Ahhhhh, now that's better."

Believe me. I understand. :)

Sarbanes-Oxley has ripples that spread surprisingly wide. scowl.

Do you think it will actually do anything productive in return for all the trouble?

(oops. politics.)

Therapy distress does (eventually) end. I know it doesn't seem like it.

I remember you, too. :)

I'm doing alright. I suppose I've had better days, but all in all, I have a lot to be thankful for.

How are you?

Sorry to confuse you. Sarbanes-Oxley came around after the whole Enron mess. Now, accountants like myself have a bit of extra work to do to ensure...well, basically to cover our *sses.

Wow. Thank you so much for this image, Annierose. I can absolutely relate and it's a good way to think about it. I don't know how many times I've had to empty out my closet in order to get it reorganized. And there's *always* that moment of saying, "oh my gosh. What have I done? Now, the bedroom's a disaster. How am I ever going to get it back together again?" But I always do and I definitely enjoy the sense of accomplishment and feeling of organization once it's done. Problem is, it always seems to get messy again. Hmm, good case for forever therapy? ;)

Thanks again for the perspective. It really helps. :)

I know. I can't believe the departments I'm hearing from that normally don't think twice about controls. At least I can thank my lucky stars I'm not in our audit department. They're not very well-liked these days. :(

Gosh, I hope so. It's been an awful lot of jumping through hoops. I guess, if nothing else, it's made me feel a little more comfortable that I won't go down alone. ;) ;)

I know you're right and I do have faith I'll get there. I'm just tired of feeling like a wreck. Sigh.

It's just making a lot of extra work for us. Especially at year-end, which seems to last for months.

Thanks, fw! I appreciate your support.

Hi there Ms. How are things in your world? Just another day in paradise for me. My daughter graduated college and actually has a job. I'm hoping since she now has her own income, I'll save about a billion dollars a month. Hope your hubby is doing OK!! How old is that sweet baby of yours now? Three? Has he asked for a new car and a cell phone yet? If not, trust me he will. Is he dating? Ya know kids are a lot more advanced then back in the old days when you were a child. Of course I'm still a child myself and wouldn't know of such things. How was your 50th reunion? I bet you and the rest of the old folks had a blast. (Bingo can be a real hoot)....Oh and I clipped a coupon for you...big savings on Geritol. Keep the faith!

Peace and Happiness

*You* calling *me* old...that has to be the funniest thing I've heard all day! I mean honestly, kid...taking computer time away from the other residents in the home for this kind of nonsense...it's just, well, sad. They have great-grandkids to email and stuff.

That's fantastic, kid! You should be very proud! And I imagine you can put that money to good use. Maybe now, you can quit your job and start taking naps at home instead of work?

Ward is doing well. He had a follow-up with the doctor a few weeks ago and it seems he's been taking care of himself just like he should.

The Beav is three...and a half. Don't forget the half, for crying out loud! He's already talking about where he wants his birthday party. It's in June.

As far as I know, he's not dating, yet. But he did attend Hope's birthday party and was pretty crushed when he found out he had not been invited to Erin's party. I'm guessing since they ballet dance together during their free time at preschool, he figured he was a shoe-in for an invite. All I know is, if she didn't invite him, she better not have invited that kid she eats playdough with!

Thanks for the coupon! Seriously, I've got *years* of saving ahead of me before *my* kid is old enough to graduate college like yours has. ;)

I'm glad to hear it's another day in paradise for you, kid.

Take care, ya old dinosaur. (Oops! Did I say dinosaur? I meant f*rt. Sorry.)
