just one of those days

Posted by wildcard on January 9, 2006, at 23:34:19

i could just f*cking scream. i have my own family, two boys and one on the way, trying to write my book and wanting to finish w/ my degree. now my younger brother who busted his *ss to get to Duke med. school cannot afford to stay unless i pay the tuition b/c his dad (diff dads)has a drug/alcohol addiction. my youngest brother who is almost 19 still lives w/ this same father, has NO education, has never worked, suffers from depression and severe obesity and i cannot help him. i have tried everything and i know i have to let go but everything hit at once and i'm just so angry and hurt that i am almost numb inside. i won't even bring up our mother....
sorry to be like this as i try to stay happy and cheer others up but i'm just so i don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i need to go beat my punching bag...that should help...thx for listening.

Here's a hug (((wildcard))) and a cup of coffee. Take a break and relax with me. You need some time for yourself, hon.
The world can wait for a moment or two.

Wildcard,

Is your brother reliable. Like would he pay you back? Can you afford to help? Could he go get a loan? You have your children to think about.

Although you love your brother, he is not your responsibility.

It is fine for you to put your problems on babble. That is why we are here. Sometimes, when one person is down, another person is up to help. /That is the way it works.

Love you,
Lynn

thx for the emails ya'll ttyl (nm) » wildcard

like lynn my thought is about loans - can your brother get one (or more if he's already got them)
Getting through school is such a HUGE expense, perhaps too much for someone with a growing family getting herself through school.

Why do you feel badly about sharing your woes? It's OK you know, it really is.
It's common for caretakers to feel that way though ;-)

Hey, don't worry about it. I want to learn to help others as much as I can.
