¡Próspero año nuevo!

Posted by Toph on December 31, 2005, at 5:01:46

I'm back in Barcelona. The skiing was not very good (-10C with 40mph winds at the top of the mountain). Sheer ice in places. They dull the edges of rental skis so people don't get cut so you would ski aggressively though snow and suddenly the ice capades would break out. But the Pyrennes are an outstanding place to visit anyways. Setcases is so quaint with thousand year old stone buildings. I would recommend staying at the La Coma to anyone.

Doing a face plant is the only way I know of to stop going down a ski hill.
Happy new year, gentlemen.

Hi Toph,

I'm picturing you in the ice capades on skis. A vision in spandex and icicles dangling from your nose as you go down the mountain.

Happy new year in all languages to you, too.

Oh it looks so quaint and beautiful! I only know how to snowplow going down a hill. Refuse to fall. Fondly, Phillipa
