Welcome Home Karen Kay

Did you have a wonderful time? So glad you are back on the correct coast. All week long I wasn't sure in which direction I should should meditate. My interal compass was all outta whack.

Phew...I feel all in balance again.

The weather was great! Sailing was the best! And the business men in the airport had to be my favorite pass time of all! Of course, I missed my fellow Babblers but I seemed to make do without. On a sad note, I did learn a thing or two about the friend I went to visit that I wish I hadn't but I still had a lot of fun. Thanks for asking.

we have missed you so much!

What exactly does that mean....CORRECT COAST!!!??

I could tell you left Karen, it got colder today. You took some of the sunshine. You picked an incredible week to come out here. I'm glad you had fun. Isn't it beautiful?

I'm also glad you are back here...

I'm glad you had a nice time, Karen! It sounds like a lot of fun (especially the businessmen ;)).

(Hopefully, the friend situation didn't put too much of a damper on your trip.)

Glad to see you back!

Are we talking about Shorty here? Is she okay? Are you?

Yes, we sailed. My friend's roomate is a captain and her boyfriend is the skipper (is that correct???) so we sailled under the Golden Gate Bridge and hit some tough water. It was no "Tour" sailing, let me tell you! I thought for sure we were going to fall out of the boat several times. She even let me steer for a while, but I couldn't quite get the hang of it, as I'm used to steering boats with a motor.

Ummm, no, my honey wasn't there. If he was, I wouldn't have gotten enarly as many drinks as I did. Nor would I have had as much fun. But, I do normally travel with him. In fact, this is one of the few times I didn't travel with him. Someone needs to stay home and work and that someone sure isn't me.

I learned that my friend is rather arrogant and likes to argue. I also learned that she doesn't make her point fair. She called me a few terms that didn't settle well in my belly and actually hurt my feelings, which I thought impossible. And I learned that I can't really spend that much time with her anymore,a s it isn't enjoyable. Granted, I had a great time, but she really just made me realize that she has changed a lot. Or perhaps I've changed. She told me to "call her out" rather than let things slide, as I frequently do, so I did and was met with harsh criticism by her. So now I'm a bit hurt and confused. Oh well, she lives pretty far away so I don't have to worry about it much anyway. It's just sad that my opinion of her has changed, because we've been friends for over 6 years now.

Thanks for celebrating my return, I am too! Yipee!!

I'm glad to be home too. And it is wonderful in the San Fransisco area as well, though I still prefer the LA area. For some reason that area still feels like "home" to me. The weather was absolutely gorgeous while I was there! I'm sure I'll be returning sometime, just not too soon.

Thanks!

The "friend situation" didn't put too much of a damper on the trip at all. People change, it happens. And my friend Shorty said that she was always like that and I failed to realize it. SO, perhaps I'm the one who's changed and just realized it?

How are you doing hun? I hope all is well with you, you deserve it.

Let me know if I can help in any way, k?

I'm worried about Shorty too though. She was there as well. Her pdoc has her too drugged up and she is just out of it. She just isn't the same until late in the evening, right before she takes her meds again. I tried to talk to her aobut it when I saw how much she takes, but she's convinced that her dose is correct. And she isn't nearly as angry anymore. Just don't know what to do.

I'm fine though. I think I also learned a few things about myself and my own situation(s) on this trip as well. Now, if only I will do something about them. Hmmm... Guess we'll see about that, won't we?

Thanks Dinah :) (nm)
