Bummed but Not Depressed

Posted by Susan J on October 24, 2003, at 14:05:04

* My brother's wife is flaking out on him and hurting him tremendously.
* My suitemate is a loser mess waste of my time.
* The *cool* guys on the internet dating service don't e-mail me back, just the weirdos, so it must be something about me.
* I'm tired from doing 12 million home improvement projects in the past 3 weeks and my house is still a mess.
* I've run out of check book registers and God knows I have trouble enough as it is keeping my check book balanced.
* I've got at least 6 projects with Oct. 31 as the deadline....and I'm not very far into them....

Thanks for listening. Susan has left the building...

---to take a nap. Sorry, I'm not meaning to make light of your situations. Things get a little much sometimes, ALOT of times, actually. I can't help you except with one of your difficulties. I have about 40 empty checkbook registars, no lie, I'm in a Fall mucking and have kept- for some reason- all these empty, blank registars. It was so funny you should write about that. Anyway, I hope things get better or at least feel a bit better. No real good advice. Just wanted you to know someone heard you, sometimes that's all I need - I'm a "vent-er"

Thanks, I appreciate it. :-) Can I have your extra check registers??? :-) I pay a lot of bills on line and do a lot of Check/Debit Visa type transactions and they just pile up in there. I went to the bank just now and the customer service lady gave me 3 blank ones for free! I thought that was so cool.....I didn't know you could do that, and do they sell them anywhere like an office supply store?

If I can get the trim on my house painted and my car waxed tomorrow, I'll take a nap. :-)

Hope things are going well with you...

Susan

you are welcome to them. Seriously, what in the world am I keeping them for? My checkbook has been on the computer since 1997. I must think I'm going on "Antique Roadshow" and hear "This date from the Keepclutteraround period and you could probably sell these for about $4000.00".
I mean, golly- I'm not sure if you can get them anywhere or not. I know you can get those banking sheets at office supply stores - they have all the columns and such. I would just get a small notebook for you purse and start writing them there.
Good luck on the painting and waxing. I gotta do some regular house cleaning - and, apparently, muck more paperwork. Oh, I also had sales receipts from 1999 - grocery store ones - golly, golly.

I'm with you on the deadlines. Hopefully you guys will be seeing a lot less of me as I catch up. I was feeling so rotten that I got way behind, but fortunately since getting off Glucophage the physical stuff is getting better. I may even meet my deadline!

Good luck with yours, Susan.
