Hi Guys,

I can't tell if I am feeling better or not. But, thanks for asking.
The wierdest thing happened today. When I got home from work (5:30 or so) I went right up to bed. My husband has NEVER said a word about my depressive sleeping. He came into the room and asked if I was sleeping because I was tired or because I am depressed. I told him the truth; I had a rough week and am very down.
Instead of walking away, he stayed and talked to me for a while. He asked me to come downstairs and have dinner with him. He actually hugged me. Maybe I have never known him as I thought. ?

Maybe he's had an epiphany . . . . or just realized how much he'd miss you if you two weren't together. I am so happy for you, I know you were really depressed about the distance between the two of you a few weeks ago.

I'll say a prayer for continued honest communication, empathy and support. Even if it comes in small packages. :-)

I don't know how well you know him. But it could be fun to find out. :)

That's terrible jyl. That's just terrible. I had a very humiliating experience with my p.doc this weekend who wouldn't return my calls and didn't believe I was sick, but thought I only wanted drugs. Finally I called and told the exchange to tell him I was, ahem, passing blood. She said, "don't waste your breath. The doctor doesn't want your messages." I called my mom in tears, who told my father, who called the doctor and guess what, he finally called me. I feel like I should write a letter, but I don't feel up to it.

Forget the letter. I would find a new doc and I'm not kidding. If you do want to write a letter write it to the AMA. Honesly...that is not ethical.

I am going to get a new doctor. It was truly a horrendous experience. When he finally talked to me he told me to go the emergency hospital, but he never did apologize. (I didn't need to go to the ER, but he prescribed some antispasmodic stomach medicine that did the trick for the night, anyway.) I wasn't sure how to take my meds during all of this or if the meds were contributing (very too long history to go into) which was why I called him. Tomorrow I'll call my GI and look for a new pdoc.

(((kara lynne)))

Tony is right, find yourself a new doctor fast!

I'm so sorry you had to put up with that on top of everything else you're dealing with right now. Have some soup as soon as you're able. Hope you're feeling better (on all fronts) soon.
