I am so sorry for your loss and her parents and the whole family!!!!!! It was a joy and a blessing to have her for the time given and now she has her wings for surely one so young and so innocent will be an angel!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you everyone for being so kind, it means a lot. I think I am still in shock even though I knew it was coming. The funeral will be on Sat., I have never been to a baby funeral, I have a feeling it has to be one of the hardest.
When they came to pick up Lia from their home, my grandson who is 2, kept saying , she is MY baby. (he didn't want them to take her) That brought everyone to tears, it was so difficult. I am not sure what exactly I am feeling right now, I am just numb. Thanks everyone again, you all have helped me so much during this month. (((babblers)))

Happyflower normal to feel this way. Make sure you get a lock of hair and hand print and footprint. I know it doesn't sound important now later it will be. And remember to happy times although there were not that many. Love Phillipa

She has all the stuff, they helped her do it in the hospital when they were there. One volunteer even made a little bead bracelet with Lia name on it, one for Lia and one for her mom. My daughter seems determined to finish her quit tomorrow as a rememberance. I even have a copy of the recording that I played last week dedicated to her. Maybe they will use it for the funeral, I don't know. I am so glad I could do my little part. Thanks again Phillipa, you have been such a strong support for me, I wish I could be there more for you too, I know you are having a rough time.

I'm so sorry for your loss; my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Baby Lia was quite a fighter and I'm glad you were able to have some time with her; try to cherish that. Didn't you tell us a photographer came and took some pictures of her? I'll bet they came out beautiful. Lia is a precious little angel.

Happyflower take care of you and your family now. Glad the nurses did it last week. And your dedication would be wonderful. oh, HF, I am crying posting this, but I think I can say a little.

Yes, she actually HAS, you know. Well, at least I believe it wholeheartedly, and so do millions. That is the only way I can ever get through things as deeply sad as this. I know nothing can ever really justify or completely heal the pain of the loss of a baby. We don't know why He needed her back, and it's excruciating, but I hope at some point imagining how pain-free and loved she is by Him gives comfort.
You are so brave and amazing for being able and willing to share all this with us.

Baby Lia blessed your lives for a few weeks longer than anyone thought she would. May it give you peace to remember her sweet spirit. I'm so glad your daughter wants to finish the quilt. It will be a treasure. You, your kids and family are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope they play your song at the funeral especially since it was for her. How special for you in remembrance. My heart breaks for you. Babies are so precious. Thanks for sharing her with us.
She came into the world to serve her purpose. I'm sure you've all learned a new level of love.

I'm so sorry that you've lost precious Lia. Thank you for including us in your brief journey with her. Her short life was so sad and yet joyful. It was a beautiful reminder of how life makes us learn to balance really opposite poles sometimes.

Dear Happyflower, I am so sad for you. Lia was the bravest and the best. I visited your very moving blog and saw her picture - she was beautiful. She struggled to live and knew what it was to be part of a loving family. Bless you all for the grief you now feel and may you be comforted by knowing that you held her, talked to her and loved her and knew her as a little person and will always have those memories - a sweet flower that bloomed for a while. All my thoughts will be of you on Saturday.

There were tons of photos of everyone and Lia, lots of pink flowers, stuffend animals, cherubs. The casket was so small it was on a lace lined little table. My oldest stepdaughter sang a song she wrote, and it was very emotional as she sung it from her heart. At the burial, they released 2 doves, it was very moving. I just want to thank everyone for you thought, prayers, hopes and all the support you have given me and my whole family even little Lia. I bet she knows how special each and everyone of you are. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
