get into church...

Posted by Christ_empowered on November 21, 2017, at 8:26:39

...but where?

(relatively high functioning) "mental patients" aren't exactly popular anywhere, including churches. churches are filled with people, and people come from the surrounding community. my community more or less expects "mental patients" to "know their place," etc.

I was raised on the liberal end of mainline Protestantism. My current beliefs are a bit more traditional, but I'm not really "conservative."

Not to get all Marxist (yet again...), but there's also social class issues here. "Schizophrenic" usually=truly, genuinely poor. It is what it is. I have very few resources of my own, but my now "well-to-do" (my former shrink's phrase...) parents "take good care of me," and --that-- seems to "rub people the wrong way."

This isn't actually a -bad- situation, it just...is a situation I think about, now and then. Nobody likes being rejected, nobody likes being an outcast...and churches can be just as harsh as the outside world, and their rejection stings far, far worse.

if a church rejects you, or denies you, don't be offended, there's christains with beliefs similar to almost sociapthic beliefs, they rely and study on judgement taught by paul, and not jesus christ

i've been doing some extensive research on the apolsoles, of course i would never go to a church or people, but paul's teachings some of them are contradicting to jesus christ, he wrote letter to people, the apolsoles, those were simply letters, it's just reading his sciptures....i just sensed were contradiction

but if there's church that hurts you, you simply know, their none compassionate, and for the better to find a true church with followers of christ

i think when you get into church find a group, or friends, share your story and what you think about god and jesus christ, and listen and be open. One thing i really, and by saying this is not ment to be an insult, but sunday school lessons, there moral lessons and .... they teach scripture, rather hear the direct truth, than ... just forgt i wrote that... get into a group, find any church and connect with people.

there were also 12 apostles i think in bible, paul said he converted when jesus appear to him and made him blind for 3 days. And then started writing the scriptures. Paul would of been number 13, 13 is kinda of a wierd number, it's said to be kind of an evil number. But just .. paul writes very good things i mean there spot on with faith and knowing jesus and following the commandments. But the part where he says we're above the law, and the law is for heathens and not rightous, that is major false. It's like paul syntaxed part of truth, with part of contradiction to jesus and some of the old testemant. He wrote confess and believe with your mouth that christ is the son of god, but jesus taught pick up the cross, help your brothers, sin no more. Grace i think is good, but when you abuse grace and live lasciviously in sin and say your saved, that is major error. But im not ... the body of christ and everything it's a main teaching. I am not at all, trying or convey other wise. It's just from my own personal view, i think paul syntaxed part of truth, but some of them are not so sure about. But first, i am no scholar or christian analyst.

I dont trust churches, however I am trusting god with my life more and more. Somewhere on the internet I read Give all your worries to him, because he cares for you. That really touched me because I think it is absolutely true. I think it is first peter 5. Something like that. I would love to get in touch with other believers. Well I do now, but electronically. But I dont want to br judged because of the fact that I was in a psychiatric hospital etc. Many people who go there arent so perfect themselves. They just dont know.
