Who is a believer?

Posted by rayww on July 24, 2005, at 1:35:12

Is it anyone who loves, and is kind to other people, whether or not they believe in a God?

Is it people who, if they knew and were taught about God would believe in Him?

Is it people of all religions who believe in God?

Those who currently believe in and have been saved by Jesus, the Son of God. I include saved by because even Satan believes in God.

Thank-you for sharing your belief. I hope others will do the same. I guess you noticed that I didn't answer it myself. It is just my opinion there are believers and non believers found in nearly every religion. What about a saved unrepentant child abuser, or a saved person who cheats on his/her spouse? And if you and I both valued the same principles, (as taught by Jesus) including faith, would we both be considered a believer? Do you think the life we live is in any way connected to it? There are a lot of dear people who through no fault of their own, haven't heard about this, but if they did, would believe. thankfully, a merciful god will be the only judge, as only he knows our heart.

I am belive in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I have seen him work, shocking me, the holy spirit is real. I have came and prayed i want "you", holy spirit. He has led me through a misery bondage with my dad. There is numerous other things.

Sometimes i think the world is a distraction, to him, the voice is so quiet it really can only be heard in still ness, or in an emergancy.

Now i respect everone else's views, i do. Im just wanted to tell my belief.

If you are a Christian, than you believe the Bible to be the true and inspired word of God (as I do).

So believing that the Bible is the absolute truth, I believe everything it says.

Jesus says in His Word, " I am the way, the truth and the light, no one can come to the Father except through me."

So that's what I believe.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)

I have always beleieved in God and through all the hard times never gave up on that faith. After my s attempt in 2002 it could not be medically explained how i lived and i felt confused. Why would God allow me to live and still be w/ me after i went against him? I always wondered.....

Carolina, He must have had a really good reason. Your spot in life is just as important as anyone else's because God placed you there. All you need to do is the best you can with whatever you have. And if surviving is all you can do some days, then just survive till you can do or be more. As long as you stay close to God He will guide you and open the doors. Please take care, and know we love you.

Friends,
I am requesting that if you are going to respond to this part of this thread that you consider the following:
In that it is written here,,[...Jesus said..(...I am the way, the truth...{no one} can come to the Father except through me)...].
I ask:
A. Does {no one} mean all nonbelievers in Jesus?
B. Does,{no one} mean all athiests?
C. Does {no one} mean all Jews that honor a God other than Jesus?
D. Does {no one} mean all non-christians?
E. Does {...no one,except...} mean all christians can go to the Father?
F. Does, [...{no one}, except through me...], mean that Jesus selects who he will allow to go to the Father?
G. does {no one} mean that the jews, and others not as christians, have to convert to christianity to be able to go to the father?
H. If [...{no one} can go to the Father, except...]is true, then what do you think that is the fate of the non-believer in that?
K.other ideas
Lou

thank you rayww (nm)

"you shall have whatsoever you say..." I do not think that you are crazy. You are sending out the Salvation message of Jesus Christ. He loves all of us so much. We cannot even phantom how much He loves us. Keep up sending forth the salvation message.
