Anyone here familiar with Saint Jude. Can you give me the basics of his story?

Thanks,

As I understand it Jude was trying to thwart the seeds of apostacy that were creeping (rushing) into the early Christian church. If you read Jude's one short chapter you will see what he is warning the church to avoid. Did the church abandon the principles taught by Jesus Christ? You decide.

Thanx, but what I was *really* looking for was what St. Jude was *the Patron Saint Of*. And, according to http://www.luckymojo.com/saintjude.html "Saint Jude Thaddeus is the Catholic Patron Saint of "lost causes" and "cases despaired of." This now I realize why my Dad gave me a neckalace of him. St. Jude is the Saint of the downtroden, the underdog, the hurt, the people who have less. That is the beauty to me.

I don't really care about the interpretations which cause friction, arguments and such, I look for the good in not only my religion, but everyone's. I think there is beauty in every single one. Maybe we'd all get along better if we all looked at it this way.

IMHO..
Peace,
Jay

Yes we are..Sorry Ray...that wasn't directed at you. Just a general point about my beliefs about religion.
