All,
I am in the midst of a situation that I really need some divine intervention for. I am a true believer in the power of collective prayer and I humbly ask for your prayers in this difficult time. Please pray for me that the situation will be resolved in my favor. I beg you. I feel so alone.

You are not alone. I will pray for a resolution to your situation as well as for your comfort in such a difficult time. --Just remember some answers to prayers are not what we expect. His will may not be the outcome you are hoping for.

Dear QuietHeart -
I will join in prayer for you in your challenging situation.
I agree with Miller, that His will may not be what we would choose, in our limited knowledge of all possibilities.
However, I know that He is worthy of your trust.
Think of a tapestry: we can only see the backside, all knotted, confused-looking, a mass of colors & textures, seemingly making no sense.
But God sees the front of the tapestry; He sees how it all works together to create a beautiful picture of the totality of our lives.
He asks us to trust Him, His ways, His timing, His sometimes "senseless" decisions on our behalf. If we love & serve Him, He works all things (including the seemingly bad ones) together for our good.
It's hard, especially if we don't get to see the front of the tapestry in this lifetime.
To me, this is the definition of faith: trusting in Him, rather than in my circumstances.
May He uphold you, guide you, & give you His peace.

Yes, He hears. He also knows what is in your heart. Faith is a hard thing to have and to keep ahold of. I hope your Faith gets you through this situation.

Dear Quiet heart,
You are in my prayers.
God listens.
My favorite scripture in times of anxiety is this:
[Phillipians 4:5-7]:
"The Lord is near. Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let your petitions be made known to God."
There is no need to be anxious. This scripture gives you something to do when worried: pray, supplicate!, and give thanks. Over and over and over again. It is in God's hands, not yours. :)

My dad is 56 years old and has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis from asbestos removal nearly 30 years ago. Although my dad and I have had our stubborn times I would be at a complete loss without him. I'm back on antidepressants since the news a couple of weeks ago and I'm so scared for him and what he is feeling, and I've been so consumed with grief and he is only just entering the syptom stages of the disease. We'll know more this week as to what type of fibrosis and his life expectancy. Please all say a prayer for my dad. Thank you so much.

I was blocked when you posted, but just seeing your name made me happy & sad. Happy to "hear" from you again, but sad that so much time has passed.
I remember praying with and for you last Lent. How is your faith these days?
How has God touched you this past year, & how have you grown?
