Does this cross the blood brain barrier?

I do get a calming effect. Do you think it is safe? I hope it is truly what it says on the label and there are no substances mixed into it. Is this a reputable brand? https://www.quicksilverscientific.com/all-products/gaba-l-theanine/

It's said that GABA doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier. Many people say they are helped by GABA supplements. Perhaps GABA supplements have a calming effect on the GABA receptors in the gut, which in turn calms the brain.

That is where the liposomes come in. The Gaba-Molecules are parceled in liposomes in the product I am using.

especially with supplements, sometimes it takes 2+ substances to get the needed/desired effect. Glad you're doing better.

Bacteria in the gut also metabolize gaba into metabolites that do cross the blood brain barrier.

I really am better. Way less anxiety/paranoia. Better sleep. It may be a tool that allows me to reduce my neuroleptics down the line. When I will have gotten rid of Venlafaxine in a few weeks, I may think about combining the liposomal GABA with Lemon Balm. I am a believer in GABA-T inhibition. So I get GABA and I fight the metabolism of GABA. Maybe that will result in a pretty solid anti-anxiety effect. I already got rid of Trazodone a week ago.

Does anybody know which Cytochrome P450 enzymes Lemon Balm inhibits? I think a higher level of Seroquel or Zyprexa is not that much of a problem. Maybe I can adjust the dosage.

Higher levels of antidepressants is more of an issue. Too much Neuroleptics just make you sleepy, too much Antidepressant is more unpleasant.
