Aromatherapy

Posted by linkadge on July 11, 2020, at 17:24:07

I used to think that aromatherapy was a bit girly (not to sound sexist or anything) but I picked up a few essential oil tinctures and have been using them (alongside some indoor plans with grow lights). I do have to say that (although its not exactly shock therapy) there is a positive effect, and my sleep seems a bit better). There is a growing body of evidence to suggest the link between smell and many emotional functions. For example, in mice, just exposing them to pine scent causes them to swim harder in the forced swim test (the poor bastards).

I like to surround myself with tools. The more tools I have to help bring me back to my center, the better.

I just heard about this study. It shows what a profound effect aroma can have on people's behavior.

I heard about vanilla helping anxiety. You are absolutely right to explore options. Its a pity that many great supplements interact with meds.
