NADH UPDATE !1

Posted by john berk on May 30, 2005, at 13:17:30

HI EVERYONE. I HAVE BEEN TAKING NADH FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS AND HAD MENTIONED LAST TIME THAT I WOULD POST MY PROGRESS EVERY SO OFTEN ! WELL, I ACTUALLY HAD DECIDED BECAUSE OF SOME AGITATION, EVEN WITH TMG, TO DISCONTINUE IT 4 DAYS AGO, BUT NOW I FEEL I MAY RESTART, I FEEL MUCH LESS ENERGENIC TODAY, AND ALSO A BIT DEPRESSED. IS THERE A POSSIBLE WITHDRAWAL EFFECT? I AM GOING TO RESTART AT 2.5 TOMMOROW, I MISS THE LIFT I HAD THE PAST 3-4 WEEKS...JOHN

Thanks for the update. I've never heard of a withdrawal effect from NADH. I take NADH for a few days then alternate to a product by Now called Brain Elavate which containe phosphatidly serine. Both seem to give me a mental/mood boost. How are you feeing now?

best~J

Hi John,

I used to take Menuco Endada NADH, and I also loved the energy it gave me. After about 3 months of continuous use though, it quit working, so I guess it's best to alternate it with something else. I take Vitalert vitamins and they are also energizing. We've taken them for years because it's the only vitamin that gave us this lift. As far as withdrawl, I wouldn't think there would be any, but who knows. Maybe you could also try adding a natural anti-depressant like SAMe.

Jazzy

thanks "j", i really appreciate your response.
i'm feeling pretty well now, i starting taking the 10 mg. sublingual tab once every 5 days and my energy is back to normal. i really love the effect i get from nadh, so i would hate to discontinue it. so far, so good!! i am also going to look into sam-e,i was always worried about the expense, but i think it may be well worth it. thanks again...john

hi jazzy, thanks for you post!! i'm sorry to hear the nadh stopped working, i have read that on another site, i think remedyfind!! i'm going to look into vitalert, i do take a multi-vitamin everyday, but never really noticed much of a lift.
thanks for the sam-e sugestion, i think i will give that a try also, i just have to run it by my dr., because i do also take 20 mgs. prozac. but i heard sam-e can actually boost prozac response, so it may be all good!! thanks again...john

I think SAMe may have boosted my reponse to moclobemide. (See post below). I liked NADH too, a bit like deprenyl but perhaps not so good.
