what is manganese gluconate

What's manganese gluconate?
I went to GNC to buy a magnesium citrate or some other form and L-tyrosine, but both of them were not available. But I saw manganese gluconate, and I asked a person there. He said it's another form of magnesium...so I bought it. But each tablet contains only 10mg...I think I got ripped off or something.... He also said that L-tyrosine is not available in Canada. He said I should go to states to get it.

It's really hard to get stuff I want in Canada...Can someone recommend me a site where I can purchase supplements online?

You were told incorrect information. Magnesium and manganese are as different as copper and zinc....different minerals which just happen to have similar names. You did not buy a magnesium preparation. You bought manganese. Take it back, and file a complaint with the manager.

There are flat-rate shipping costs to consider, so it is wise to put together a fairly substantial order, so the shipping costs diminishes on a per item basis. Also, you may or may not be hit with a Customs handling fee, and GST will be added if Customs catches the parcel (they're sloppy, and I've had orders get past them).

Pure amino supplements have been withdrawn from the market in Canada, but I don't think they're being seized by Customs. I tried to find out on the federal government website, but it is a government website, and it just went around in bureaucratic circles.....

Anyway, I've gotten melatonin, DHEA, and other stuff past Customs, even though they may possibly not be permissable (I'm still not sure one way or the other).

With the US Express Mail service, Purolator takes over in Canada, so delivery is about three days from ordering.
