i don't really know what is going on, but...

Posted by alexandra_k on December 3, 2020, at 2:47:03

It seems to me that NZ is the *ss end of nowhere bottom of the world...

From the US perspective.

Which made it a target from the sense of an aspirational goal.

Like, if we can get fibre optic cables to NZ we can get fibre optic cables anywhere!!!

And so, New Zealand gets things, sometimes, many many years in advance of what they 'should' get them (in some sense of 'should') simply because of that.

And so I have had quality internet connection...

The likes of which has not been had by the kids of Providence, RI.

I have had (in some sense) better access to the teachings of Sal Kahn (MIT) and the funsies of CohhCarnage (NC) and Critical Role (California whatever that abbreviation is) than many people within those states, even.

And I suppose it is something about minority groups. Being under-valued. People don't properly appreciate the utility thereof. It may in fact be the case that this present site contravenes best practice that has been determined by many years of understanding from start-ups from California and Massacheusetts... The stuff about copyrights and so on...

But the fact that I had the internet connection to participate fully in this site at the early stage that I did... Which was inaccessible to the majority of people in America....

And it attests... It attested to something of the power of the internet.

And it is something frightning to many...

'Why would you pay for an Ivy League Education if you could get it for free on the Internet?'

Because the knowledge is only one part of the picture... Unless you have the goal to blow up the world (or similar). Mostly people want to be part of a community where they feel they are amongst like-minded others. Where they feel they belong. The internet provides a certain sense of participation and belonging... But it it limited compared to IRL.

But for many many many people of the world it is simply the best they have got.

Couple post-codes of Providence now have free internet. I hope they have internet capable devices. The kids who had the worst internet access before... Some of them... Will turn out to be... Identified as being... Which is considerably more than they had before...

The kids are citizens. Born in the US.

Which is a problem... Antagnosim...

How do you scale up the traditional New England town-ship community experience?

How do you make that experience fair?

How do you keep it as something worth working towards without ruining it by things becomming swamped?

It's a genuine thing....

But you need to identify the talent to help things progress in the right directions....

I am going to be so, f*ck*ng devistated if I don't get to go to Brown. Because it is f*ck*ng perfect for me. And for so much of my life I'm stuck in this situation that is f*ck*ng awful for me and that situation is so obviously perfect for me I will be so f*ck*ng mad if things don't work out.

And because I've been following things... Following the news from multiple sources on a daily basis... And I start to feel really attached to the place... And I understand that the University is a bubble of the community... And I understand that that (in some sense) is as it must be so that the studnets don't have to spend all their time worrying about heating and food and so on... So they can focus on calculus and chemistry and on developing the relationships / knowledge of other people / developing the social networks that will serve them well / be their home base / enable them to launch into their futures...

RI is special. For being small and having 2 senators.

But it was FORCED to join the United States. Apparently... I'm still working on it...

While North Carolina dragged it's heels...

Hrm...

Alex, better rest and stay in New Zealand. I don't think it is a good idea to leave that country now and likely also not in the future. But you must know. It seems that you often must go through hardship in NZ but maybe things will change a bit and it could be better sometimes. Personally I would choose Norway or France, at places where the ethical standards are fairly good. Nevertheless it seems for me that New Zealand isn't so bad, maybe it is better than you think. How can you compare... I also heard other voices from New Zealand. good luck and have a good day. all the best.

I think you sound like my Mother. What my Mother says and what she thinks. The strategy my Mother has taken with her own life, even. She chose to embrace Welfare Payments. Instead of wanting or expecting meaningful employment... Instead of wanting or expecting to be able to contribute something to society beyond her own private garden... My Mother settled into Welfare payments (less than minimum wage) for all of her days.

That's what the Government wants for me, too. For me to live on Disability (less than minimum wage) for the rest of my days. Not contributing anything to society or the community or... The Government would probably prefer me to be dead, truth be told, then it wouldn't need to pay me anything at all. Why am I still alive? I'm only a burden on the New Zealand Government -- right? There is no meaningful employment for me.

The Government is the major employer in NZ. We don't really have much, at all, in the way of private business. What little private business we have thrives from government hand-outs. Like the Briscoes Katmandu Warehouse group, or Ryman (or whatever it's called) Healthcare. Where the District Health Boards (public hospitals) contract services out to the private healthcare business and the private healthcare business turns a profit and pays dividends...

Somehow ACC (the accident compensation authority which is supposed to provide compensation to people who are injured at work, for example, in return for people giving up their right to sue their employer) is somehow investing in the stock market or something... They are investing government money and ACC is being paid dividends... Or something... That makes no sense at all...

Good people can't do business in NZ because the quotes are b*llsh*t. They then refuse to work until extortion / bribe payments are received. Things run over-time always. Things run over-cost always. They only get the contract by under-bidding and they extort the remaining money always. It prevents and precludes honest business. Good business. You can't do business with NZ.

__________

People say I am too focused on Medicine. I have two things to say to that:

(1) People say they want to see people with internal motivation and drive and spark and passion... They want to provide lot of opportunities and experiences and it is up to you to provide the internal motivation and drive and spark and passion to steer or navigate your way through. So... I don't think it is fair to criticise me for having things I am focused on doing.

(2) If people are focused on becoming teachers or businessmen or studying bugs or yoga we don't mind. We think it's wonderful. Some combination of genuinely thinking they should pursue their interests and thinking that that they may change their mind down the track... Why do people feel differently about Meidcine and (sometimes) law or (sometimes) business / finance, even?

__________________

Sometimes older people become closed-minded. They feel they have seen everything already... Already experienced everything and made up their minds...

I feel that way about some things. I feel that way about drugs. I feel I have had the opportunity to experiment with mind altering substances and I don't feel the need to partake in any of that anymore. I mean, I could probably have a drink with some people -- but I mean I don't feel the need to experiment with mind altering substances anymore...

But with respect to learning about differnet things... Particularly academic things... I have a very open mind.

_______________________________________

The court cases are progressing...

The Auckland trial is actually on Monday. Only a few days away. I have the last of the written submissions from the University and I guess I have various things to speak to.

They were wrong to have declined me. They have been mis-processing applications to Medicine (violating the Education Act) for years and years and years. As has the other Public Univerisity that handles Medical Admissions in NZ.

What will the courts do? We are supposed to be 'rule by law'. THe law is clear that domestic adults who have attained the age of 20 years are eligible to be enrolled in the programme they apply to. The Univesrity declined me saying they declared me 'ineligible' -- which they did not have the power to do.

They refused to process my application to Medicine.

They also refuse (and this isn't part of the case -- becuase there were too many wrongs for me to bring them to task on all of them)... They also refuse to grade studnets work properly. They refuse to allow studnets to work to international standards of scholarship. They refuse to blind grade studnets work to international standards. They think they have the power to choose which studnets they like and give them A's just because they like them. Non-academic grounds. They thought they had the power to fail me because they didn't want me to do Medicine. They wanted me to get the hell away from the Univerity so their own children and their own chosen teenagers could study Medicine instead of me. They thought they had the authrotity to choose whoever htey wanted and they decided they did not want to choose me.

Why would I want to stay with people who refuse to value international standards? It's not a University.. It's not a Medical School when it signs off on people (gives them Medical Degrees) for being suck-ups and sychophants and for paying bribes etc.

I'm not ready to retire into a life of Welfare... Give up my future prosepects so that those with every advantage handed to htem on a silver platter can go out there and wrongful death, sexual violation, organ stealing, involuntary incarceration...

The psychopaths have taken over, here...

Suppose the court orders them to train me (pointing out they don't have authority to pick and choose whoever they want)....

Will that change their grading practices?

That will take several more generations, at least.

There's really nothing much to be done with NZ but give the people the opportunity to flee if they desire to flee and otherwise shut the borders down. Make it clearer to people internationally what things are like here so teh 'right' people immigrate, only. The people struck off registers to practice overseas because of their ethical etc violations, particularly. They'll fit right on in, here. Be valued for the things they value. Etc.

jacinda arden violated the rights of the people when she declared the country was to go into lock-down. for however many days... the police were puffing out their chests and posturing at people to 'stay home'... and they had no authority to do so.

what compensation has the New Zealand government paid the people for violating their rights?

none.

you know what they do: they show themselves to be illigitimate as government.

the building i live in does not have secure post-boxes. election mail is strewn about the floor and is unlawfully opened. people complain (or brag) about people voting more than once. Is there an inquiry? no.

how about election 'donations' that allow candidates to corner the market. for example, the giant well placed billboards and the advertising bandwitdth devoted to promoting chloe swarbrick for central auckland? none of the other candidates had equivalent air time or publicity with respect to faces on billboard or airtime.

it was not an election.

it was not an election at all.

the northern hemisphere looks at nz recently and says 'we understand how hitler came to power'

jacindamania

yeah

that's how hitler came to power.

the government refuses to uphold the rights of the people.

the judiciary does not hold the executive to account.

'awwwwwwwwwwww we wronged you -- what are you going to do about it?'

(there is nothing you can do about it)

(there is nothing we will do about it).

cry

cry

cry for vaccines, nz.

cry

cry

cry

about how the vaccines you brought turned out to be bogus...

you brought the cheapest vaccines you could for your people because you think your people are sh*t. You brought them before they had been ethically or scientifically approved. you expected to get them rolled out before other nations in the midst of pandemic. you expected the first doses to go to healthcare professionals and their hoardings / highest bidders.

they obtained half the vaccination power (by requiring 2 doses)

they obtained... hidden costs in the form of necessary refridgeration.

when people squawk and gobble and squeeeee woo o and refuse to contribute to the costs of production (financial or skilled labor) when you have to extort the money / contribtuion out of them. how much of a pay cut does ashley bloomfield need for refridgeration in NZ?

he busy saving for his kids college fund? no? expecting to profit from the very best of the public training places? of course.

ashley bloomfield think N95 masks are in order for people working in Covid quarantine with proven cases yet? no??

what ya gonna do about it?

well... you get the people out. and you don't let non-citizens in, anymore.

That's basically the situation of it. concentration camp island. quarantine island. prison camp. there's security cameras all about, here. it's one giant prison or detention facility.

the government repeately violates the rights of their people.

the government is on the take.

there's nobody home, here.

there's nothing here.

expediate the people out... there's nobody hom.e

I sound like your mother I dont have children with my husband.

Why dont you ask the experts if you could improve your thesis with them together, Alex ?
Even though they maybe idiots and the thesis will be worse than before, it perhaps helps.

They probably demand something boring but ordinary. You must please them but not yourself.

It is up to you what you make with your great talents. Too bad that it isnt appreciated so far.

There is nothing here in the Southwest except dust. The guns wont ever rust here. It must be amazing to have as much rain as you have. For me it sounds like a paradise in New Zealand.

And the premier Ardern seems to be an emphatic person. I watched Ardern on CNN attending the church shortly after the shootings. Afterwards she collected the semi-automatic guns.

I watched a movie maybe on fox news or likely another channel about the correctional facilities in Norway. I was impressed about Norway's ethical standards. Maybe the standards aren't too bad in NZ also...

It is good when you write applications.

I do not think that the babble brings much good for you. maybe you're accustomed and dependent. Notwithstanding you wont ever have choice and leader Hsiung wont care much.

all the best for you.

i think i read something of art, biochemisty and psychology. but you don't have to be specific here. I only read your newer posts.

things are standardized nowadays. I know it's difficult. it's more standardized than maybe twenty or thirty years ago. of course this also is negative but it is how things work. did the supervisors or the ombudsman know that you're autistic...maybe it is good if you tell them.

> Why dont you ask the experts if you could improve your thesis with them together, Alex ?

they recorded on my transcript that i failed it because, apparently, the university can decide that independnetly of reports of external examiners and they decided that i failed to meet the standard they required of me.

the standard they required of me was for me to take more than the normal or usual time to complete the qualification. they wanted me to complete the qualification under part time status only.

nz has this thing of branding or marking or whatever me as not being capable of working or studying full time.

i have no desire to spend 3 years explaining to them the content of 1 years work. and so on.

they don't pay me. they expect me to pay them. and pay them some more. and pay them some more. and keep paying them... because i'm incapable of doing my work (they want everyone to believe).

the government gives them lots of money to babysit incompetent stupid slow me. intellectually handicapped me. mentally ill me. you get the idea.

it's very convenient (also lucrative) for them.

you know, if you don't mind having a university with no research output, to speak of.

> It is up to you what you make with your great talents. Too bad that it isnt appreciated so far.

nz has always been a mob when it came to me.

> There is nothing here in the Southwest except dust. The guns wont ever rust here. It must be amazing to have as much rain as you have. For me it sounds like a paradise in New Zealand.

something about the grass being greener...

> And the premier Ardern seems to be an emphatic person. I watched Ardern on CNN attending the church shortly after the shootings. Afterwards she collected the semi-automatic guns.

yes. she did a great job early on in her response to the shootings. for sure.

but then 'Jacindamania' took hold. and the northern hemisphere says they see how Hitler came to be in power. Charisma. Something like that. Blind adoration.

Then you get a mob (the people of NZ) turning violent on anybody who says anything critical of the revered leader.

The public (also media) turning very nasty indeed on the leader of the opposition at the time for daring to do his job in providing critique.

Like HItler she received a vast number of votes last election... A great proportion. In a system that was supposedly set up to prevent (or to clue people into when?) the next holocaust was on the horizon...

The standards are very bad in NZ. I have experienced them first hand. ON the side of them that means I am always marked as 'not one of us' by the perpetrators. Because i don't have those kinds of desires in response to what happened to me. Or something like that.

> It is good when you write applications.

Yeah. I guess i need to apply to get out of here. There's really nothign here for me. Couldn't be made any clearer.

> I do not think that the babble brings much good for you.

Aw. Well... You are here :) I don't spend so very very much time here, anymore.

I suppose I like to come here to feel a bit connected to some of the people in the US for a time... Hear a bit from people here how things are in their lives. It's nice for me. I enjoy chatting to you. To rj. to people who pop in from time to time...

I suppose I like to feel like Bob is here even though I don't honestly think he reads anymore. It reminds me of some warm fuzzy feelings of belonging and companionship that I've experienced here over the years.

I had good friends here. Gardnergirl and Rainbowbrite and Dinah and Atticus and Susan and AdaGrace and PartlyCloudy and so many I shouldn't start with the names...

And some of the intellectual discussions, too, about groups and group dynamics and so on. And, yeah, there's a lot here that I'm not ready to let go of.

A lot of good, like that.

I haven't found a community of people like that irl.. Haven't experienced that kind of belonging for a long while...

It's rather old news that the Soviet Psychiatrists of the 1800's I think it was, used labels of mental illness to involuntarily incarcerate political dissentors. It's a standard example of abuses of psychiatry.

So... When the political elites don't like what you have to say... They call you crazy and they lock you up. Deprivation is a way of inducing the crazy. We know how to make people crazy. We know if you put someone in sensory deprivation for a while they start to lose the ability to distinguish between sleep and wake and it starts to induce hallucinations, delusions, psychosis. We know that sleep deprivation does that as well.

Depending on how you use '10 minute observation checks' or '15 minute observation checks' in the night... And depending on how much you allow people to nap during the day... You can detain people indefinately as psychotic by saying 'I need to see you are awake' every 10 or 15 minutes.

Like what happened with me last time I was in the hospital. For several days... Until I got hold of teh district inspector and she talked to me for a bit... And said she would come see me on MOnday... And they moved my ward... But if the district inspector wasn't going to come...

Would I still be in the psyhciatric ICU in NZ on 10 minute obs? I suppose that would be at the discretion of the 'psychiatrist' who never did manage to conduct a psycihatric history or evaluation...

Not by any standardised textbook I've ever seen. Not even the psych histories and evaluations that I routinely underwent by training people 10 or more years ago...

Things have gone disturbingly...

Backward in NZ...

I am afraid.

We have face recognition security cameras up in public places everywhere in central Auckland.

I don't really know what it is abuot.

I think it is more likely protecting the citizens from the Government than information the Government gets access to...

I think NZ is concentration camp island. Detention facility.

Some people were born here and it's not their fault.

SOme others are... Sent here. Kept here. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Underdeveloped, I guess...

Me being 'autistic'...

I was given the diagnosis by a newly arrived very pleasant English psychiatrist who I belive was trying to help me very genuinely.

NZ would not allow me to live independently. NZ was only providing very very minimal resources so I was forced to live with others. The idea is to force people to a life of crime... Prostitution. Drug dealing. Or to marry up. Sleep in someone elses bed. Move into their house.

I needed to live independnetly. So I'd end up in these awful situations, always...

The diagnosis of autism spectrum 'sensory hypersensitivity' meant I finally was given a little bit extra resources so I could live independently. Not with flatmates. Not with room mates. Independnetly. My own bathroom. My own kitchen. Independently.

Of course a huge part of it is the nature of the peple they were trying to force me to live with. The people who were involved in prostitution or... THen they turn on me 'you think you are better than us for not living like us'...

Just...

I managed to live in a studnet res hall more recently in Otago... With my own bathroom... But it was a short term thing...

NZ doesn't allow me resources to live as a person. It treats me like a retarded child.

Telling people 'I'm autistic' doesn't tell people anything helpfl or useful when it comes to me anymore... Things have gotten worse in NZ...

If people think I'm autistic they think that means I don't have a mob of my own. If I don't have a mob of my own in this country that means i'm an easy victim / target / i'm there for the taking. people can do whatever they liek to me with impunity. What am I doing to do about it?

Recently when I'm involuntarily detained on 15 minute obs and they refuse me a phone call... Eventually they allowed me to talk to my mother briefly only becuase I agreed to give them her contact numbe rand they wanted to hear who I would talk to as a contact (if there was anybody who cared for me if if they could... I don't know... Murder me and steal my organs and feed me to the ICU inpatients in the slops and nobody would even know or care)...

And my mother.. It was like talking to someone with dead eyes. But dead in her voice. ANd she was like 'thats what they did to your sister a few months back. YOu need to comply, Alex. You need to just do the things they say you should do. You need to comply, Alex. Then they'll let you go. Otherwise they won't let you go, Alex'.

I wonder...

I wonder if that's the conversation the family had to my Grandfather when he was detained by the New Zealand government for being a pacifist (I mean to say for saying things critical of what the government thought / belived) when it came to the pros / cons / morality of travelling half the way across the world to go and die for other people's wars.

I suppose it was.

We are a rule by mob, here.

I was alright when I was a kid at a private school...

We had a relief teacher one day, though, and she was horrible to me, and I didn't understand why.

I wasn't allowed to play games with all the other kids. I had to stay behind in the classroom doing my work that I hadn't finished. As my punishment for not having finished my work. The work I was required to do involved me answering questions about... I think it was nursery rhymes. Only, I had never read those nursery rhymes so I simply did not know the answer to those questions. We didn't have those books and I wasn't expected to find the answers in the books. I was expected to sit and feel bad that I didn't know the answer to everything while other kids got to play games.

Then the principle (who was kind) sent one of the older kids in to check on whether I was okay (because our school didn't typically do things like that -- isolating a kid like that). And she told me the answers and I wrote them down.

And what was the lesson in that? I don't know. The teacher was a bitch.

I'm expected to slow down and wait for everybody else...

And then I'm expected to stay back while they overtake me.

When my Mother and my Father split up and I lived with my Mother my life changed a lot...

Things got a lot worse...

I think because the Mothers of the kids did not like my Mother and did not like me.

People started treating us like garbage because she was a solo parent on welfare. Social ostracism.

And then, I guess, when you start treating people like garbage, the intention is to carry on...

The attitude or spirit in NZ is that I have been picked out to do various things at various points in time. I was picked out to do Philosophy. And then Auckland picked me out to do law. And I decided that I wanted to do something that was different from the things I had been picked out to do. Ungrateful little bitch. NZ is now entitled to teach me a lesson until I comply.

So what do I do today? Why... I slave for the courts.

It is unclear whether the University has the authority to set eligibility criterion when there are more eligible applicants than places available.

It is genuinely possible that parliament passed the statute with the intention of getting the University to train a reasonable volume of studnets for various programmes and intended to incentivise them to encourage people to actively apply for programmes by threatening to force them to be required to enrol domestic adults (ugh) if they didn't manage to collect up enough applications to enrol.

It is genuinely possible that that was parliaments intent.

Not to provide special protection for a class of people (domestic adults) from the council (where the council would prefer to train / sexually violate / bully teenagers)... In the interests of fairness (since the teenagers would tehmselves grow up to be 20 one day).

It didn't occur to me that parliament would be as... Ur.... Retarded... As to be thinking the former...

But I guess that makes sense of why the council is so very determined that certain programmes are highly competitive. By which they mean the council really goes gunning to eliminate certain people from selection.

Certain people like me.
