if one is posting to a particular person, why not just use BABBLEMAIL?? this is not just directed to you Deneb, I see others doing the same thing. Why not just Babblemail??

BL, I understand.
As you know, I battled on this subject specifically regarding the personal Dr. Bob messages posted on adm. but got a direct answer that no changes were forthcoming from adm. or the posters. Plus, an added bonus of a PBC for pressuring.... fun.
I miss the "Let's keep it adm...." and that NOT meaning adding "Thanks" notations as an mini aside to have the post be acceptable when the majority of the content is just a completely personal message for Dr. Bob.
Attention to the behavior appears to increase it, but when one gets tired of the same 'ole, same 'ole, every once in a great while, it still gets the better of my understanding and patience as to what these forum's purpose really are....

I know there is not generalized agreement on the personal messages for Dr. Bob on these forums - understandable.
My point - in a slightly brief form and yes, repeated - is: In the case of Dr. Bob, there are numerous ways to contact Dr. Bob with personal messages that don't involve these public forums. I consider Dr. Bob the owner and adm. of this site and not part of the mutual support and education that are the missions of these forums.
