I really would like to know about it... cute shoes are always interesting to me in a non-fetish way. Not that's there's anything wrong....

Just wondering about it and wanted some info.

That's an Eff-Me pump. Somebody must have hacked the server.

And if you look closely, it's sort of like a penny loafer, but with coin slots all over. You could carry lots of dimes in that shoe.

?

shoe museum??

Just like he did for the Chicago Babblefest, Bob is showing you images that passed by his retinas, during that time.

The Bata Shoe Musuem, the private collection of a woman named Sonja Bata, fortified with select pieces loaned by private collectors, is a history of human footwear. Not surprisingly, women's shoes are dominant. You might be astounded to know that the high-heeled pump a la Blahnik or Chu has historical precedents going back thousands of years. The same stand-on-your-toes and grin and bear it thing, for millenia.

No, I did not have to look up the name Blahnik.

Dr.Bob actually believed us when we said we'd be there for a noon visit. He was on time. We got there over the course of an hour, from 2 until well after 3.

Sorry about that, Dr. Bob. It was Sunday, and we were just not choreographed very well that day. The dinner the night before kind of kept us up past our bedtimes.

Lar

Dr Bob is looking a bit fishy today! (nm)

~~~ This is not a surprising fact at all. Wonder how long stripper poles have been around? I bet there are cave drawings....
I'm trying to be humorous today folks, really.
Thanks for the info, Lar. I would love to check the place out. I bet I'd like it, as I'm becoming a shoe maven and very appreciative of the craft these days.
It is a really well-done exhibition. I would go back again, because I'm sure I missed stuff.
