Lou's wondering to Dr. Hsiung

DR. Hsiung,
I am wondering if it could be possible that your guest on the faith board that has a book about the Christian perspective have a separate board for him/her here?

Dr. Hsiung,
You wrote that you have a fear that if I was to post the proposed post of mine that since in the post I referr to my God giving me a commandment, that your fear is in some way that others could think that what my God has for me to follow could mean that others could think that it is for them also.
I am wondering if by you providing the faith board to a guest of yours to write about the Christian perspective as to in a book by him/her, that there could possibly be that others could think that what this Christian perspective is of your guest that others could think that it was for them also, even with any disclaimers.

Dr. Hsiung,
I am wondering the following:
A. Will your guest about the Christian perspective be to abide by the guidlines for the faith board?
B. Will your guest be permitted to post more than 3 consecutive posts?
C. Will I be allowed to respond to whatever your guest writes here {from the Jewish perspective}?
D. Will you stop the guest from continuing if posts arrise in the thread that have the potential to arrouse antisemitic feelings?

Would you be asking the same if the guest were an expert on the Jewish Faith Lou?

Just asking out of interest

NikkiT2,
In your above question to me, it would depend on several factors.
I would not mind requesting to the administration, and I may already have, that a representative of,let's say, the ADL, be allowed to chair a discussion here, to give historical referrences on how antisemitism has been promulgated historically so that one could have a better picture of how others use statements that have the potential to arrouse hatred toward the Jews.
Now if Dr. Hsiung did invite a guest, since there are different branches of Jewdaism, how could Jewdaism be represented by one person who is called an "expert"?

And Dr Bob has said that he would welcome any Jewish "experts" to be a guest if someone would suggest someone, or put him in touch with someone.

I even approached someone I know who is a very prominent Rabbi in the UK, and a wondeful person, but they simply don't have the time.

I just wondered whether you would request a different board for a Jewish expert over a Christin one.

And its also true that there are many different areas of Christiandom that make it hard for one person to be an expert in it all. The same can be said of any mental health issue, or just about any issue someone might come here about. This doesn't mean we can't all learn an awful lot from the guests that come here.

I would welcome a Rabbi, or some other person knowledgable about Judaism, to come here and educate us, as I would welcome a Buddist Monk, and have welcomed Chris Williams.

NikkiT2,
You wrote,[...I just wondered whether you would request a different board for a jewish expert over a christin one...].
If Dr. Hsiung had a guest here that was said to be an expert on Jewdaism, I would also request that a separate board be established for that person.

I don't expect him to post anything that might imply that others should share his beliefs, but if he does, or if there are other issues with guidelines, I'll try to deal with it...
