LOL

My guess is still that he was somewhere near me, in the Pacific Northwest.

I recognzie that dreary, dark, rainy look-- it's call Spring in Seattle.

Maybe we can make a game out of it.. Like "Where's Waldo?" but "where's Dr. Bob?"

Whoever wins get a free months supply of psych drugs. LOL

You beat me...no snappy comeback! :) (nm) » TofuEmmy

Was that the one where Danny & Rhea were the despicable parents of the super-bright little girl with magical powers? Matilda? And her teacher was the sickeningly sweet and aptly named Miss Honey? Or not.

Nope, it was Westley as the Masked Man to Inigo during their sword fight, when Inigo asks who Westley is in The Princess Bride.

"I must know!"

"Get used to disappointment."

Greece. It was beautiful! But it's nice to be back, too.

Thanks, everyone -- especially Dinah and Mark H. -- for the extra care you took while I was gone,

Bob

Dear Dr. Bob,

While you were gone, several of us were speculating as to what was behind you in the photo (each of us tended to project what we are familiar with).

Is it a house with palm trees behind it, or a boat with a rigging boom and a pile of nets in the rear? (One person thought the white band was snow, but most of us think it's a wall.)

Many thanks,

Mark H.

I would bet the farm -- and actually also the farms of others, which is audacious but is how sure I feel -- that it is a two-story building w/ roofed porch, windows, a cementish wall in front, and palm trees to the side. (I tried very hard to see it as trawler, boom and nets; and snow; but those are a big no go for my mind's eye.) Hi there btw! ;-)

Greece.. Gerald Durrell's old stomping grounds ... how wonderful. Did you see olive groves? Do tell, Dr. Bob, you're always so quiet. It's as though you don't really care to be involved with us, really.... Were there lots of salamanders and lizards and things like that? And the birds, the birds must be beautiful.
I'm so sorry now, for thinking it looked like Waco, Texas. I'll be Waco has beauty too, though.

It's not that, I just have an administrative role here.

Is it administrative? :-)

... in a good way, that is... benign little nuances of the standard word economy... But alas, think I've extracted myself again (so far managing to only follow reply notices), so will look forward to more snicker-included administrative lessons when next I fall off the wagon! (Yes this was administrative, a compliment to the administrator!) :-)

Well, Susan, I was meaning to ask if you were trying to "administer" that, but Dr. Bob beat me to it, I think. Oh well.... :-)

If it wasn't administrative, Dr. Bob

....then it was administered, in any case. Sorry if it was against your will. But not too much. :)
