The thing with all of Lou's posts over the past few months, and the resulting heated discussions, and the people offended by the posts and the discussions...
it's an experimental manipulation, right? You must be collecting data on the extent to which disruption (of any sort) can diminish the efficacy of the board to provide a supportive atmosphere to people.
it must be very wearing to see this through, to respond to all the posts, etc.
A lot of work. But, it would make a da*n good journal article, I think. Because, undoubtedly, this is happening elsewhere, and needs to be aired publicly and maybe some of the other boards will get a sense of the best way to deal with it.

I'm sure there'e a journal article hidden somewhere in this mess; I hope what happened precipitated the article, if there is to be one, rather than that Bob some how manipulated circumstances to see what would happen.
If I were Bob I wouldn't want to write the article too quickly since I'm not sure this has played itself out yet. (perish the thought)

In fact it's in the quiz that Dr. Bob does not "experiment" on us. It's my own belief that research is the secondary consideration in Dr. Bob's operating this site. That his first consideration is providing a site for education and support.
I'm sorry if I'm answering this thread a bit more seriously than it was intended. And I do realize that I am. But the possibility has been brought up more than once lately, and new people might not realize that Dr. Bob doesn't do that.
Dr. Bob has answered this question more than once. And the last time or two he has sounded just the teeniest bit frustrated (to my ears at least) that we don't believe him.
