Thanks for sharing. It suggests that not all is lost with the mental health system. It won't make people rich, yet it is still researched and eventually going to be approved. I have never taken MDMA despite going to many parties where people took it.

DMT-assisted therapy is also heading toward FDA approval. This clinical trial is for major depressive disorder rather than PTSD.

Is there any drug that is fun that people prone to psychosis can take? :)

Is there the risk that patients may want to use MDMA outside of therapy? Then there is the risk of patients developing psychosis, if they are prone to it. Sometimes the fact that they are is not recognized. They would need to get screened for that?

This clinical trial for MDMA-assisted psychotherapy doesn't list "history of psychosis" under its exclusion criteria.

https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03537014

I've never heard anything about patients taking MDMA on their own after they've completed therapy.

But they say you can get permanent psychosis if you try MDMA just once.

If you are that vulnerable to developing permanent psychosis, you would likely not be sensitive only to MDMA, but a plethora of drugs (or psychological triggers), probably including antidepressants.

Yeah. Certain antidepressants push me in that direction. So I eould assume MDMA is a no-no
