Nikki, guess what followed me home today?

Posted by Racer on July 6, 2004, at 1:34:49

These two books I'd never seen before followed me home today, said they were looking for their Aunt Nikki, but that they'd play with me if I was nice to them and got your permission...

Not feeling well today, took my mother shopping (holiday, so hubby came along) and she {ahem} actively encouraged the two of them to come home with me. (ie: bought them for me, along with a bottle of pomegranate juice.) I'm looking forward after reading the reviews I read after reading your HUGE recommendation. As soon as I finish the one I'm reading now.

Other than that, though, what an UGH of a day. Stiff neck, headache, muscle aches, joints aching a lot, feeling feverish and nauseaous. Just, NOT a nice time of it. And grumpy with my husband over something that's upsetting me a huge amount -- even though it's entirely about him, you know? He's not following a doctor's orders about something that could turn into something serious, and I'm trying so hard not to nag when it's worrying me so much.

GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ooooh, Jasper Fforde books?? *grins* If so.. Go forth and read *lol*

For when you've done some reading, there is his AWESOME website.. http://www.jasperfforde.com *g*

And I am SO SO SO excited.. I've just booked tickets to go to a reading and Q&A and signing session he is doing on the 29th!! *grins* His new one (the 4th in the Thursday Next series) comes out on the 26th.. and theres this utterly fantastic book shop, Foyles, that often has events for authors.. I'm so excited!! Going with Julian and the girlfriend that introduced me to JF!

Oh.. feeling all stiff and feverish is no funw hat so ever.. remember to look after that body of yours.. lots of water and vitimin C is my answer!

And.. well.. it sounds like this is a situation where you are perfectlyw ithin your rights to nag.. if its something that could be alot more serious, neither of you want that.. so I think you have permission to nag him!

Right.. need to throw some clothes on and get to Pdoc appointment.. Joy of joys!

take care honey *hugs* and enjoy some escapism reading!

Nikki xx
