Hope it helped. Stay away from the board that pushes your buttons. I would guess that would be admin, but whatever board it is, just avoid it for a while.

Hm... I guess I manage to stay out of the discussions that get so many here so het up. Personally, maybe it's Pollyanna of me to admit this, but I read pretty much only those posts that sound as if I can offer something to, or those written by posters I "know" and like. Everyone else, I ignore pretty successfully.
Whatever it is, I'm sorry so many people I've read and written to get so upset. I find a lot of support here, because there are so many good people here to offer it to me.
I'm sorry you feel that way, and hope you find a way to cope with it and stay.

Sometimes it is fortunate to have been away from PB for a couple of weeks and to have missed what happened. That way, when I go to the admin board, I see that there has been a hoopla, but I don't know what it's about and I then choose to remain ignorant, especially since there are so many posts I'd have to go through to figure it out. I'd rather just stay out of it.

That's why I like posting here (on 2000) so much. I know y'all, and have a sense of connection, and history that I don't have with all the 'newbies.' Tho' I know they may be newbies only in the sense of having a new name.

here, I trust *everybody*.. I feel I have known you all quite some time, (though 3 - 4 years isn't much really, though I know for some of us its longer) and I know that people here care for me, care about me, and would support me.
Anyone here want to join us at "A Safe Haven".. I know a few of us are members there, but we do want new members, but we have an agreement that we all have to be comfortable with the new member... and no "strangers" that none of us know.. But, the people at 2000 I know would all be welcome additions!!!

I agree trust it is. and I understand about things feeling almost surreal on *another* board.
about Safe Haven, I remember one of the old-timers started it but forgot about the particulars (my horrid memory again), can you please remind me?

wow, smart move! I do the same thing at other boards- if I've been away from them for a while and there are too many yellow tags, I pretty much give up. I wish I had done the same at admin, but I got sucked into 'the thread', and then so ticked off that I did. so I had to post 'a last post', and that way I respect my announcement and no longer deal with it, it's the only way I know to disengage myself.

Its a yahoo group.. so its a message board, but you can also receive all the messages by email and reply by email instead of having to go to the board!

I'm glad you mentioned ASH also. I don't go too often (as you know)but there are lots and lots of good folks over there, and some good new ones that I didn't even know had joined (I miss the members list).
Thanks to Greg for starting it as a safe haven from PB when a lot of storms were happening, and to Tina for running it so long after Greg left, and advance kudos to Rach.
