Last weekend, I tried mushrooms for the first time. I know for a fact, that they were good mushrooms. I ate 1/2 of the eighth on an empty stomach and never tripped. An hour later, I ate lunch and the other half of the eighth. I never ended up tripping. About 9 hours later, I threw up and passed out. Thankfully, my boyfriend saw me pass out and caught me before my head hit the wall. I've been on the antidepressant, Effexor, for about a month and a half now. Did the Effexor keep me from tripping???

I did the same thing, except I am on Depakote and Paxil... it also kept me from tripping on acid. I'd like to know how that happens too...

My sister has eaten shrooms and acid while taking lexapro and hasn't had a problem. I've never had a problem while taking lithium or topamax (with acid or mushrooms), but I did have a strange reaction to ecstacy and lithium. I would highly recommend staying clear of the combination! YIKES!!! My sister also took effexor and ate mushrooms frequently and didn't have a problem... I don't know?? Strange..

I wonder that now I'm off the Depakote if it would make a difference... I can tell that pot has a long, more potent effect on me now.
I'm strange... I wouldn't doubt that my body needs double doses of illegal drugs to get an effect.... but I think I'm gonna just let it go :)
